The Ministry of Health, Romania together with his partners, Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and the Norwegian Directorate of Health (HDIR) announce the launching conference of European Public Health Challenges Programme financed within EEA Grants 2014-2021.
The event will take place on 11th of September 2019, Hotel Capitol, Luvru hall, Calea Victoriei nr. 29, sector 1, Bucharest.
The Programme objectives are to improve prevention and to reduce inequalities in health. The total programme allocation of 47.058.824 euro (including national co-financing) will be used to support a high range of measures, among which: prevention and treatment of communicable diseases, improving the health status of vulnerable groups (children, elderly, Roma) by setting up new services of primary health care and community care assistance, improving the access to prevention services in child and woman health, nutrition, pediatric oncology, mental health for children, cervical cancer screening, medical and diseases registries and measures to control hospital infections and reduce antibiotics consumption.
Within the event, it will be presented information about predefined projects and calls for proposal financed but also the opportunities for strengthening the bilateral cooperation in health area between EEAcountries and Romania.
Among the participants, there will be Romanian Government officials, representatives of Donor States, Programme partners, hospitals, NGOs and mass-media.
